Amazon Alexa can now send SMS from your Android phone

As the battle of the smart personal assistants continues to simmer, Amazon has just fired another shot,  adding support for SMS messages  to Alexa's feature list. You can now command your Amazon Echo device to send a text message to one of your contacts, provided you have an Android phone. It's been possible to send voice messages  from one Echo device to another  for quite a while, as well as make voice calls, but this adds a whole new dimension. You require an Android phone (5.0 Lollipop or higher) with the Alexa app installed. Then follow these instructions to get it set up: Sign up for  Alexa Calling & Messaging  in the Alexa app. Tap the  Conversations  icon. Select  Contacts . Select  My Profile . Samsung is gearing to launch the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ on February 25, a day ahead of MWC 2018, in Barcelona. A lot has been already leaked about the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ and even serial tipster Evan Blass has posted his take on the new flagship phones, leaving almost nothing to the imagination. A new Android Police report however suggests that the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ may come with one more piece of technology that we're yet to see on a Samsung phone. The technology is called Intelligent Scan and it's said to be a biometric feature that makes use of facial and iris scanning to unlock the phone(s) even in dark and harsh light. Intelligent Scan will reportedly make use of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+' front camera sensor as well as the iris scanner to help the phones detect a user's face in challenging light scenarios. Ola(the indian company) expands overseas, set to launch in Australia in 2018

Ride-hailing service company Ola is set to launch itself in Australia in the coming few months. Company's co-founder and chief executive Bhavish Aggarwal made the announcement on Tuesday in a press statement. This would be the company's first step towards overseas and has already started recruiting drivers in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth starting Monday. "A momentous day for us at @Olacabs, as we go International with Australia! We've begun onboarding driver-partners across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth & look forward to working together with local communities in building mobility for every Australian," Aggarwal tweeted. With expansion in Australia, Ola will once again lock horns with closest rival company Uber which entered Australia in year 2012. After weeks of rumours and leaks, the 4G variant of the refreshed Nokia 3310 has finally launched in China. Unlike the 2G variant, the 4G VoLTE enabled Nokia 3310 runs on YunOS, an operating system made by the Alibaba Group that is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). FEATURES, SPECIFICATIONS The Nokia 3310 4G, which was earlier expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, has been silently launched in China and comes with support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot. In China, the mobile comes pre-loaded with popular applications for music, books and audiobooks. It is not known at the moment if the phone has the ability to run stripped down versions of apps like Facebook and WhatsApp. If it does, it will give tough competition to smart feature phones like the Micromax Bharat 1 and JioPhone as and when it is launched in India.
